8/5/10 - Bradley Stoke 75 (34) Portishead 76-1 (10.3)

The thirds cantered to an easy victory at a decidedly chilly Bristol Road. Only D.Talbot (35) reached double figures for the visitors as they struggled against accurate bowling. A 98 run win for the 3rd's away at Pucklechurch this weekend. Batting first Adrian Fishman (40) and Brad Macritchie (59) put on over 100 for the first wicket. Gavin Clifton (28) and Cam Gray (21) then chipped in with useful runs. In reply Pucklechurch had no answer to the wily bowling of Paul Johnson. In a super 15 over spell Paul picked up 7-25 with only R.Watts (47) showing any resistance. Chaz Stuckes, Cam Gray and Connor Macritchie picked up the other three wickets.

5/6/10 - Portishead 155-8 (45) Twyford House 138 (42.3)

The thirds maintained their unbeaten start to the season with a 17 run win over visitors Twyford. On a difficult batting pitch 155 was always going to be a competetive total with good contributions from Brad Macritchie (39), Mike Savory (38) and Cam Gray (31). The visitors got off to a solid start but the introduction of Sam Booth saw wickets start to fall. In two spells Sam picked up 6-23, Cam Gray picked up late wickets to finish with 2-38 with Paul Johnson and Chaz Stuckes the other wicket takers.

12/6/10 - Bitton 198-4 Portishead 156

Previously unbeaten Posset went down to a surprising 42 run defeat at Bitton. Opener J.Smith scored 83 and was well supported by the rest of the top 5 as a total of nearly 200 was achieved. Paul Johnson, Cam Gray, Sam Booth and Brad Macritchie picking up a wicket apiece. In reply both Portishead openers were soon back in the hutch, and despite Pete Savory (36) and John Tiley (46) making decent scores the thirds finished well short of the target.

19/6/10 - Portishead 115-9 (45) Shirehampton 116-8 (39.4)

In a nail biter at Bristol Road the thirds were narrowly beaten as Shire sneaked home by 2 wickets. Batting first on a difficult surface Posset limped to 115 with Mike Savory (28) and Johnny Marsh (27) top scoring. Pete Savory (16) and John Tiley (13) also reaching double figures. Two early wickets gave the thirds hope of a surprise win and with the eighth wicket going down with 10 runs still required Shire looked in deep trouble. However the 9th wicket pair scraped home despite a controversial run out decision which went against the home team.

26/6/10 - Frampton Cotterell v Portishead.

Cancelled - the thirds were unable to raise a side.
