A winning start for the Sunday XI at a very sunny Lake Grounds by 116 runs. Openers Ollie Savory and George Parsons with 61 apiece got the innings off to a great start and there were useful contributions from Nigel Armstrong (30), Matt Gould (22) and Sam Stuckes (18), with 3 wickets apiece for Easton bowlers Anderson and Berrick. In the vistors reply only P.Holman (45) and P.Wilkinson (35) reached double figures as they were bowled out inside 30 overs, Sam Stuckes picking up 3-3 and Adrian Fishman 2-9.
25/4/10 - Westerleigh 205 (39.1) Portishead 160 (34)
Opener B. Gayle (78) got the visitors off to a fine start and with J.Hendy hitting a rapid 52 at the end of the innings Westerleigh reached a very competetive total. Portishead's reply got off to the worst possible start with a first ball duck for Ollie Savory. Mark Pullen batted well for a hard hit 50 but with wickets falling at regular intervals the innings ended at 160. George Parsons continued his fine start to the season with 26, Dave Collings (18) and Chris Bridge (13no) also getting into double figures.

The visitors making their first visit to the Lake Grounds batted first and were bowled out for 197. Star performer for Ashcott was number 3 batsman Wayne Spencer who made 103 before retiring. For Portishead, who included 5 members of the Stuckes/Macritchie family, Chaz Stuckes was the star bowler with 5-24 off 7 overs, Rob Chick and Connor Macritchie picking up a wicket apiece. In reply Portishead were given a good start by Joe Rowsell (19) and George Parsons (59). Sensible batting by the middle order ensured the target was reached in the 34th over. Bobby Gould (28) Rob Chick (28no), Sam Stuckes (27) and Ollie Savory (17no) all making good contributions.

6/6/10 - Phoenix West Indians 177 (37.3) Portishead 178-6 (32)
A long weekend for the West Indians as they lost all three games to Posset. The Sunday fixture saw the visitors bowled out for 177 with T.Virgo (51no) the main contributor. Wicket takers for the home team were Nev Coleske (3-29), Ollie Savory (2-2), Bobby Gould (2-10), Nick Walker (2-30) and Dave Collings (1-31) as eight bowlers turned their arms over. The target of 178 was acheived with 8 overs to spare, with George Parsons (85) and Bobby Gould (39no) the main run getters, Jak Phillips, Lee Chambers and Ollie Savory also getting into double figures.

20/6/10 - Chairmans XI 257-6 (50) Presidents XI 251-9 (50)
A gloriously sunny day for the Annual Club Day saw Mike's team pipping Adrian's by just 6 runs in a superb match. Star of the show in the first innings was Jak Phillips with a magnificent 151 before retiring with Sam Stuckes (50no) also among the runs. In reply Chris Bridge (83) and George Parsons (77) nearly took their team to a brilliant victory but the tail were left with a bit too much to do in the final overs. A brilliant day was made even more special by the unveiling of a new club flag dedicated to Tommy Broom and of course many thanks to Sue Savory for the delicious lunch and tea.
27/6/10 - Portishead v Bedminster
Cancelled - yet again not enough players to get a team out.
4/7/10 - Frenchay 237-7 (40) (abandoned)
The visitors had made a reasonable score of 237 before tea with Khan (96) and Kylander (40) the main contributors, Jake Bull taking 2-21 However following a brief shower at tea the visitors declined to field in what they deemed dangerous conditions!!!
11/7/10 - Portishead 240-6 (35) St. Mary Redcliffe 200-5 (35)
Posset came out on top in the annual Roger Cripps Memorial match by the margin of 40 runs. Batting first the home team lost 4 early wickets but Garth Tiley (105), Ollie Savory (46) and Sam Stuckes (36) ensured a good score was reached. In reply Redcliffe managed to get to 200 in their alloted overs with S.Headford (48) and P.Deval (38no) the main contributors. Garth Tiley picked up 2-24 with Nick Walker, Sam Stuckes and Jak Phillips getting one wicket each.
